Reflection:

And my new journey of life begins…

The first week of school passed so quickly. On the first day of school, I had IS module as my first lesson for my first time being in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I did not really enjoy this module as its boring and doesn’t really interest me. I’ve never enjoyed lifeskills module in my whole entire life in College East.

On the second day of school, Tuesday, I had three different modules which were Studio Production, Photography and Introduction to Film. It was a whole day full of lecture. It was kind of tiring and a little boring as it was mostly introduction about the lecturers themselves, us introducing ourselves and introducing the module to us. I enjoyed studio production and photography though introduction to film was kind of boring as our lecturer screened us some old classic movie which in the end I ended up watching and enjoying it a little.

On the third day of school, Wednesday, we had Story telling module followed by photography. At first I thought this module was kind of boring but ended up I enjoyed this module. Maybe it’s also the lecturer that played a part to making the lesson enjoyable and fun. But I will definitely have difficulty in this module as my English is not very good. I will need some patience and help from my lecturer for my English language. I have not had English lessons since I left secondary school; hence I’ve sort of forgotten my proper English stuff already. I enjoy photography lessons too as I love taking photographs and also we were taught how to use the SLR. Though I sort of know how to use it already as I have a DSLR but I still enjoyed the lessons.

On the fourth day of school, Thursday, I had art and design followed by introduction to film. I never enjoyed art lessons back in primary or secondary school but this is the first time in my entire life enjoying art lesson as like what I said earlier on, the lecturer is the one who makes the class interesting. I am not an art person because I don’t know how to draw, I can only draw stick man or shapes for you.

Lastly, the last day of school for the week, I had studio production. The studio was huge boy, I love the studio, back in College East days we did not have much equipment especially the lightings and audio equipment for the studio as we are the first badge, and therefore everything’s kind of not ready yet. Our class had to put up a short ski and we enjoyed it very much. Also I sort of got to know my classmates better and managed to talk to them.

Then the weekends have finally arrived. I enjoyed my weekends very much but also had to crack my brain to finish writing my reflection for the IS module.

That’s all folks!

Story:

Kelvin keeps tapping his fingers on the table. The final year exams results are out, Kelvin is waiting anxiously for his teacher to walk into class and announce the final year results. As Kelvin’s one of the most hardworking student in class he studied very hard for the exams and wishes to do well and top the class so that he could get into the best class for the following year. As the teacher announces the results of the names of students before him, he gets more anxious and his fingers tapped faster and faster. When it comes to his name, the teacher paused for a while, and there was silence in the class. The teacher then gave him a round of applause and announced that he had done very well and had topped the whole entire of his level.

  1. Ms Phuah Says:

    Openers:
They should not end with a full stop because technically, they’re incomplete sentences. Overall, you might want to think about how the opener could engage the readers and make them curious about the characters and the situation that they’re in.

    Reflection:
It’s great that you’re enjoying at lease some of the modules in FSV.

    Story:
A happy though somewhat predictable ending that is surely to please readers.
